High Frequency
How Does it Work?
High Frequency is a rapid oscillating current (also known as the Tesla Current) that can produce anywhere from 60,000-200,000 hertz of frequency. This rapid current does not produce uncomfortable muscle contractions, but rather a gentle warming sensation on the skin. It is applied to the skin using a glass electrode that is vacuumed sealed with either argon or neon gas. Argon helps to treat acne lesions and neon is great for general and oily skin types, and can aid in deeper product penetration due to it's more localized warming effect. High Frequency also produces ozone, which has an oxygenating effect on the skin. Oxygen is also known for its bactericidal properties, and its ability to reduce inflammation and carry nutrients deep into the dermal layers.
Due to its amazing germicidal abilities, high frequency is an incredibly effective treatment for acne, blackheads, and whiteheads.
